Day 16 - EMP
Today I went to the EMP (Experience Music Project) in Seattle which was awesome.   It had a lot of cool rock ‘n’ roll stuff and had a lot of Jimi Hendrix stuff which made it that much better.  It also had a ‘sound studio’ area which had a bunch of rooms where you could jam or try to play one of the instruments on hand.  I wanted to play some of the instruments but they were all mobbed up with kids so I decided to wait it out at the EMP bar.  I had a few local brews then went up and played some guitar, drums, keyboards and bass.  Unfortunately, since it wasn’t crowded anymore I couldn’t find anyone to jam with me. Regardless it was fun to sit down at the drum set to rock out, even if on my own.
I eventually left EMP and started heading south towards Portland.  However, it was pretty late already (since I spent all day in EMP) so I only made it as far as Castle Rock, OR, which is about halfway between Seattle and Portland.  The exit I got off also happens to be the one used to get to Mt St Helens so I think I will go take a look at that tomorrow.  Not much else happened today otherwise.
